Weather Update: Severe Bulletin No. 12 Typhoon "Santi"

Severe Weather Bulletin Number TWELVE
Tropical Cyclone Warning: Typhoon "SANTI"
Issued at 5:00 a.m., Saturday, 12 October 2013

Typhoon "SANTI" has weakened after crossing Central Luzon and is moving towards the West Philippine Sea.

(Winds of >100 to 185 kph may be expected in at least 18 hours)

(winds of >60 to 100 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours)

(30-60 kph winds may be expected in at least 36 hours)

Nueva Viscaya
Quirino
Aurora
Nueva Ecija
Bulacan
Metro Manila
Rizal
Cavite
Laguna
Batangas
Lubang Is. 

Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 - 25.0 mm per hour (Heavy - Intense) within the 400 km diameter of the Typhoon.

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas along the track are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal #3 and #2 are alerted against storm surges of up to 4 meters.

Sea travel is risky over the seaboard of Luzon and of Visayas.

Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
