DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo's plane crashes in Masbate

Sa isang news flash naibalita ngayong sabado ang pagbagsak di umano ng eroplanong sinasakyan ni DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo sa isang isla ng Masbate.

Ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) ay nagpahayag ng opisyal sa kanilang Twitter account na nagsabing si Robredo nakasakay sa isang Cessna 172 na patungong Masbate Airport ala singko ng hapon na nagrerequest ng Emergency Landing.

"The plane did not make it to the airport and crashed 3 kilometers from the airport in Masbate Bay," 

"The Cabinet official was with two pilots and his aide Jun Abrazado. "Abrazado is now found but in critical condition," 

'Robredo was not able to get out the plane,' said Lt. Col. Julian Pacatan, commander of the Army in Masbate, quoting survivor Abrazado."pahayag pa ng DILG.

Samanatala, Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas kinumpirma ang naturang balita sa dzBB radio interview sa sakay nga ng eroplano si Robredo, ngunit hindi kinumpirma ang balita kung ano ang lagay ng DILG Secretary.

"We will be updating the public as details are confirmed. Speculation is not useful at this time," pahayag ni Lacierda na Presidential Spokesperson ng Palasyo.

Hanggang sa ngayon ay tuloy pa rin ang search and rescue kay Jesse Robredo at sa mga kasama pa nito.

MMDA traffic enforcer hinaras ng motorista







Kahapon ko ito napanood sa palabas na T3 (Tulfo Brothers) sa TV5 at tila pinaghalong galit at pagkaawa ang aking naramdam dito.

Makikita sa bidyo na ito kung paano lapastanganin ang mga traffic enforcer ng mga taong katulad nito. Tinakot, binulyawan, hinataw sa ulo at sinampal o sinapak ang mukha bago layuan ng gigil na gigil na lalaking to.

Nakilala ang lalaking balasubas na ito sa pangalang "Robert Blair Carabuena" na di umano ay ADMU graduate at isang HR Officer ng Philip Morris ngayon.

Ang pobreng MMDA na si Saturnino Fabros ay hindi na nakapagsalita at nakalaban, Ikaw ba namang hawakan ka ng isa pang malaking tao sabay may nanduduro at nagmumura sa harapan mo.

Calling the attention of PHILIP MORRIS at ng MMDA, gawan nyo naman ng aksyon. Sa MMDA, hindi yung kailangan pang taong bayan ang magtulak sa inyo para ipagtanggol ang pobreng empleyado nyo.

Chairman Tolentino,  wag puro baha at basura muna ang asikasuhin mo, tutukan mo ang tauhan mo lalo na yung mga nagtatrabaho ng matino pagkatapos ay ganito pa ang napapala.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #2 and #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Tropical Storm "HELEN" is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring rains over Luzon and Visayas especially over the Western section.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 - 25 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within 500 km diameter of Tropical Storm.

Intermittent light to moderate rains (2.5 - 7.5 mm/hr) are now affecting Central and Southern Luzon becoming more frequent moderate to heavy rains (7.5 - 10.0 mm/hr) today over Camarines provinces, Quezon province, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Metro Manila.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas due to Tropical Storm "HELEN" and the Southwest Monsoon.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.

USA vs Spain para sa gold ng basketball sa olympics

Muling maghaharap ang pangunahing player ng LA Lakers hindi para sa isang laban sa NBA season kundi para sa isang laban sa gold medal game sa London Olympics 2012.

Sina Pau Gasol ng Spain at Kobe Bryant ng USA ay maghaharap mamaya para sa gintong medalya. Ito ay isang napakagadang rematch mula ng Beijing Olympics noong 2008.

Tinalo ng USA ang team nila Manu Ginobili at Scola sa score na 109-83 para sa elimination game noong biyernes at binigo naman ng Spain ang Russia sa kanilang ikalawang paghaharap sa score na 67-59.

Inaasahan ng babawi ang team ng USA para muling sunkitin ang gintong medalya para sa larong basketball at manatili ang no.1 spot sa buong mundo para sa larong ito.

Ang Spain o ang no. 2 spot ay umaasang muling maiisahan ang mga amerikano sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga NBA palayer na magkapatid na Gasol at iba pa.

Subaybayan natin ang sagupaan ng dalawang top seeded teams ng basketball ngayon.

DOH nagbabala sa mga inuming tubig




Sinabi ni Health Secretary Enrique T. Ona ngayon na pinagiingat ang mga mamayan para sa malinis na tubig na kanilang iinumin sa kabila ng paguulan at pagbaha sa Metro Manila at kalapit na probinsya.

“Water must be purified to ensure that it is clean and fit for human consumption. Water that is not safe to drink can make you sick from a few hours or up to several weeks after taking it,” Ona said.
Ona reminds everyone to always use pure clean water for drinking, preparing beverages, cooking, brushing teeth, washing hands and face and washing eating and cooking tools to avoid outbreaks of diarrhea.

“Clear water is not necessarily safe to drink. Purifying it by boiling or disinfection will make it potable,” Ona explained.

Ang mga sumusunod ay mga paraan upang i-purify ang ating inuming tubig:
  • Salain ang tubig sa pamamagitan ng malinis na cloth oh anumang uri ng pansalang alam nating malinis
  • Kung malabo ang tubig, puede itong antaying tumining upang makuha ang malinis na tubig sa loob ng kalahating araw o higit pa
  • Pakuluan ang tubig. Sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng asin or powedered juices ay puwedeng maimprove ang lasa ng inuming tubig.
  • Ang tubig ay pwedeng idisinfect sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng 2 drops of 5% chlorine solution (unscented bleach) sa bawat isang litro (1) liter ng tubig. Hintayin ang isang oras bago ito gamitin.
  • Sundin ang mga kaukulang instruction sa pag didisinfect ng tubig kung gagamit ng mga generic Chlorine solutions. It ay mabibili rin o makakhingi sa ating mga health centers or evacuation centers.

“Local governments and relief missions should ensure that containers used for rationing water are clean to prevent contamination,“ Ona concluded.

Weather Update: August 8, 2012 Low Pressure Area

For: Southwest monsoon

The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) has weakened slightly as Tropical Cyclone "HAIKUI" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has moved farther away and made landfall in the vicinity of Shanghai, China early this morning. Consequently, weather condition is expected to slightly improve further before the weekend because of the weakening of the southwesterly winds. However, for the next 12 hours, light to moderate rains (2.5-5mm/hr) in some portions of Batangas are expected. Intermittent moderate to heavy (5-10mm/hr) but less frequent rains compared with the past 24-hours will be experienced in the following Provinces: Portions of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite and NCR.

Threats of flashfloods and floods in low lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas as well as Lahar flows over Pinatubo will gradually decrease.

Residents living in those areas are still warned against the danger of these hazards that may occur.

Disaster managers are still alerted to continually take precautionary measures.

The next update will be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 5:00 pm today while the next advisory will be issued at 11:00 am tomorrow.

Meralco Advisories: August 7, 2012

Meralco announced it will switch off power in all areas experiencing heavy flooding in Metro Manila on Tuesday, August 7.

Meralco advised citizens to turn off their main power switch if their home is already flooded, according to a message posted am on the company's Twitter account at 9.37am.

"Our crews have also already been deployed to attend to any trouble that may have affected our facilities serving your area," the electrical power distributor said after a day and a half of heavy rainfall and flooding in the National Capital Region.

The power interruptions are now affecting portions of EspaƱa, New Manila and La Loma, while the Sampaloc substation "has been de-energized due to severe flooding in the area."

Meralco assured the public that the company is monitoring the situation and doing its best to "provide power service without compromising public safety."

Previously, the electrical power distributor had said it was monitoring flood levels "to determine if power shutdown is necessary" if the flooding continues.

Metro Manila nasa Red Alert Water Level na

















Inilagay na sa Red Alert ang Metro Manila sa mga oras na ito (07:35am) dahil sa patuloy na pagbuhos ng malakas ng ulan. Ang Red Alert Level ay nangangahulugan ng 30.0mm/h na water level na ang ibig sabihin ay mataas na pagbaha sa buong Metro Manila.

Ang water level ng Marikina River ay nakataas na sa 3rd Alarm at ngayon ay nasa critical level na sa taas na 18.5m. Dahil dito inillikas na ng puwersahan ang mga tao sa kani-kanilang mga tahanan sa buong Metro Manila lalong lalo na ang mga kabahanyang malapit sa ilog at mga creek.

Inaaasahan pa rin ang tuloy tuloy na pag-uulan hanggang bukas ayon sa PAGASA. Samanatalang ang BInga at San Roque Dam ay nagpakawala na ng tubig.

Ang San Mateo River at Tulyahan River ay nasa critical level na rin.

Weather Update: August 6, 2012 Low Pressure Area

For: Southwest Monsoon and Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA)

Moderate to heavy rains is expected to occur over the western section of Luzon (Pangasinan, Zambales down south to Batangas and Mindoro including the National Capital Region) and Panay Island due to the southwest monsoon, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Light to moderate rains will continue to be experienced over the rest of Luzon. Meanwhile, a shallow low pressure area was estimated at about 920 km East of Northern Luzon (17.5°N 130.5°E).

The next update will be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 5:00 p.m. today while the next advisory will be issued at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow.

FORECAST:

Ang Kalakhang Maynila ay makakaranas ng mga pag-ulan na dulot ng habagat. Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa timog-kanluran ang iiral at ang Look ng Maynila ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon. Ang tinatayang agwat ng temperatura ay mula 24 hanggang 29 antas ng celsius (75°F hanggang 84°F).

Ang Luzon at Kabisayaan ay makakaranas ng mga pag-ulan dulot ng habagat na maaaring magdulot ng mga pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa lalung-lalo na sa mga kanlurang bahagi. Ang Mindanao ay magkakaroon ng bahagya hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong pag-ulan o pagkidlat-pagkulog.br>
Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa timog-kanluran ang iiral sa buong kapuluan at ang mga baybaying-dagat ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon.

At 8 a.m, today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,070 km East of Northern Luzon (16.7°N, 134.0°E). It is still too far to affect any part of the country. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon will continue to bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Luzon and Visayas becoming widespread rains over western section of Luzon which may continue to trigger flashfloods and landslides.
