Weather Update : December 8, 2011


Synopsis:
At 2:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA)was estimated based on satellite and surface data 320 km East of Southern Mindanao (6.0°N,128.5°E).
Forecast:
Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over Palawan and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Luzon will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast and East will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the East to Northeast with slight to moderate seas.
