Anti Children Endangerment Law In Manila

Starting today parents will face to a penalty for those street children that will be caught on the streets begging for food and money. 

This is after the "Anti Child Endangerment Law of the City of Manila has passed the 3rd reading in council last August 11, 2011.

The Law aims to penalize parents who will abandon or used minors to seek money or food in the streets that makes their life really in danger.
Manila 2nd District Councilor Rod Lacsamana one of the authors said that the law seeks to give lessons to those irresponsible parents. "They should help their children in a better education and it's wellness and not like this."

Imprisonment of at least 6 months and a fine of P2,00 to P5,000 depending on the age of the child for those parents found guilty.
